Hawk HPS Street Pads Review

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about Hawk HPS Street Pads lately so we decided to post a review on these gems.  Whether you are considering Hawk HPS pads as an upgrade when buying a disc brake conversion kit or you are simply looking for better performance on your current system, we think Hawk is a good play, and here’s why.

Hawk HPS Brake PadsThere are a bunch of brake pad options out there, but the guys at Hawk are really on to something. Hawk’s HPS brake pads are manufactured with a Ferro-Carbon compound that provides advanced braking characteristics to enhance your driving experience. The new compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design with severe-duty friction technology from the motorsports world.

The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake-fade than most standard replacement pads.

If you are constantly cleaning brake dust from a set of super shiny wheels, the news gets even better. Dust is part of life because friction material wears off your pads every time you apply the brakes, but Hawk brake pads are engineered to produce extremely low dust levels. Better engineering here means cleaner wheels. The compound is also gentle on rotors and super quiet. Hawk pads come burnished from the factory, but remember to bed them in for best performance.

Oh, and we almost forgot to mention the limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, made-in-USA quality, and great pricing.

So, to answer your questions about Hawk Pads, there is a reason we offer them as an upgrade on our brake kits. Being in the brake business, we get the inside scoop on the latest and greatest technology. Our guys can use anything they want on their classic rides, but most of us here at Master Power rock Hawk pads.

Even if you don’t currently use our brakes, we still recommend Hawk brake pads because they offer the best combination of price and performance on the market today.  If you are still on the fence, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
