Brake boosters are not known for being the sexiest part under the hood. But why can’t they be? We’re changing the game with our redesigned look, while still offering the highest performance quality you’ve come to expect from Master Power Brakes.
Cons of Standard Brake Booster
While the standard vacuum brake booster functions efficiently, it’s quite ugly and can detract from the overall flow and appearance of everything under your hood. The look consists of a stamped metal outer housing that’s fused together by a crimp, outer band clamp, or the two cans twisted together.
While this may not seem like a dealbreaker, if we can make a product better, why shouldn’t we? We wanted to solve this problem and allow you to streamline the appearance of your classic car vacuum brake booster without compromising performance.
Difficult to Hide
In an effort to hide its unattractive appearance, many vehicle owners have tried to mount the booster out of sight, only making it more difficult to access and service (when necessary). Alternative mounting isn’t easy; it’s painstakingly frustrating and requires a great deal of custom work.
Pros of New Carbon X Brake Booster
Our Carbon X Brake Booster assembly kit consists of high-gloss outer carbon fiber shells holding the modern 9-inch, dual diaphragm internals. It’s all held together with several CNC-machined billet aluminum components, including two outer billet aluminum rings. This booster is a perfect choice for today’s pro-touring builds or any street rod application.

We’ve made several upgrades to this assembly kit that make it the slickest booster you’ve ever seen.
- High-gloss carbon fiber outer cans
- Hidden Internal Mounting Hardware
- CNC-machined 6061 Billet Aluminum outer rings with choice of finish and hidden or exposed hardware
- Bolt mounts for master cylinder (replacing old stud and nut arrangement)
- Fully customizable appearance to match your build and theme
The standard version of the Carbon X Brake Booster will offer the choice of these three finishes for the outer rings:
- Black Anodized
Custom upgrade options will allow you to match the vacuum brake booster to the engine’s theme and overall look, including the ability to feature the booster rings from both the front and back of the booster.
Custom ring finish choices include:
- Brushed Nickel
- Colored Anodized
The custom version of this booster will also allow you to decide the location of the mounting hardware.
Universal Fit and Features
Our new booster utilizes standard front and rear mounting dimensions, allowing for easy replacement of your old booster.
- 9-inch dual diaphragm internals
- 3 3/8” bolt pattern on rear for easy swapping of most conventional brake boosters
- Dimensions are 9.750” outside diameter and 6.250” from front to rear
