One of our customers recently sent us a note saying, “I have a classic Chevrolet C-10 truck and recently upgraded my wheels. I'm now rolling on a larger wheel and tire package. Do I need to think about newer or maybe even "more" brakes? The short answer to this one is yes, and here’s why.
Even with a disc brake currently in the front, the larger wheels mean more leverage overcoming the stock drum or disc brakes. Less braking potential means it is time to look at larger and better front brakes. Master Power Brakes has a Chevy C-10 brake package that takes care of your needs.
This new kit consists of a directionally vented 13” rotor that comes cross-drilled and slotted with a zinc-wash to prevent surface rust. The rotor slips over top of a black anodized billet aluminum hub assembly that comes pre-assembled with premium bearings packed and ready to go using Red Line Synthetic Grease. Once all of that is in place, a large 4-piston clear anodized billet aluminum caliper slides over the rotor and will provide all of the stopping power you will ever need.
All of the brackets that come with the kit feature a black anodized finish, the hoses included are braided stainless steel and any needed hardware is included, making this a complete trouble-free bolt-on brake system. The system does require the use of a modular spindle that comes with a 2 ½” drop and is also available from Master Power Brakes - The Leader in Model Specific Brake Kits.
With this brake system installed on the front of your 1960-1987 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up, your braking concerns will be a thing of the past. Give us a call today at 1-800-397-2076 for more information.
