Over the course of the next few months we are going to let you, the customers know a little bit more about us. In this new blog post series we will be taking one of our staff members and asking them a series of questions. These questions range from everyday questions to professional questions. We hope that along the way that not only you learn something new about our us a company but the types of hard working individuals who make it all possible.
In our third employee profile article we sit down with Chris. Chris is the guy who makes sure we are well stocked on parts and our kits get out the door in a timely manner. He is the heart and soul of the warehouse and without him, many of the products you enjoy wouldn't get to you!
Where are you from?
Originally from Chicago area and moved to the Charlotte Area in 1985. Moved to the Mooresville are in 2002.
When did you join Master Power Brakes?
January 8, 2001
What is your role at Master Power Brakes?
Over the years, I have done a lot of Jobs at Master Power Brakes. I am currently the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager.
What do you think is the most challenging part of our industry?
Trying to reach out to the younger generation and get them interested and invested into the industry.
What was your first car?
- 1972 Corvette with 70’s custom paint. I remember burning my legs many times on the side pipes.
What is your favorite car?
1972 two-wheel drive lowered blazer or 2011-2014 Cadillac CTS-V station wagon.
- What is the one quality that best describes you?
- Integrity: I always try to do the right thing and make a difference.
Is there any advice you would give to someone just starting out in our industry?
Learn a trade like welding, machinist or paint and bodywork. Also have a passion for your job. You work to many hours not to enjoy it.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?We have six grandchildren under six that keep us busy. We love family time when we do have some time. Terry and I like to go for a ride in the mountains of NC and Tennessee.
Current car projects you are working on?
This weekend I plan on dusting off the car.
If you could brag about one thing you have done outside of work what would it be?My Family is my greatest accomplishment. We have 3 boys that have started great families. Two of them work for Joe Gibbs racing. The other one has taken the boys side business of making motorcycle parts and turned it into a growing company. The boys not only build the fastest race cars but they have also built many award-winning custom motorcycles. A few years ago, they even won the TV show Biker Live on the Discovery Channel
