No matter what the business is, if you just sit around and don’t make any improvements, your products are going to fall behind and become irrelevant. We recently realized that we were falling into that situation with our Ford Truck and Chevrolet Truck Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kits. Not long ago, we had a situation come up that forced us to look at these kits and after a hard look, we determined it was time to make some changes. But we didn’t want to make changes just to be making changes. We wanted better and we wanted more!
Congratulations to Donny Johnson, our July Ride of the Month Winner! Donny was kind enough to share pictures of his 1965 LS7 powered powered C10. Donny has owned this classic since '68 and over the years he has done three restorations. This classic truck features MP Pro Driver Series Brakes, LS7 motor, 4L70E 4 sp. auto/overdrive tranny, Ridetech air suspension, vintage air, classic instrument gauges, and a super cool curly maple wood bed.

Donny took the time to thank us for picking his truck for Ride of the Month and he shared some additional pictures and an in-depth story behind his C10. When reading the story and looking at the pictures, you get a sense for the passion and pride Donny has for this piece of his family's history:
Every now and then, we like to do classic car and truck stories with an interesting human interest angle. This month’s article profiles Bob Sportel and his 1957 Chevy truck. 38 years ago, Bob ponied up 75 bucks for cheap transportation to get him back and forth to work. He never bought another work truck.
Bob’s truck has an estimated 300,000 miles on it—the odometer hasn’t worked in years—and there is no radio. Liberal use of Bondo has kept the headlights in place and the upholstery is patched with duct tape, but this half ton Chevy still runs like a champ.
All of our disc brake conversion kits are bolt-on solutions, but have you ever wondered if you can tackle an install project on your own? We filmed a 1962 Impala disc brake conversion to show just how easy it is to convert an older GM or any classic from drum to disc brakes. When you view the video, pay particular attention to the closing credits, and as always, if you have questions before or during your installation, just give us a call and we'll be glad to lend a hand.
